Coach Pelini won about 75% of his games at NU, winning 9 or 10 games each year, played for 3 conference championships, earned the devotion of his players, and led NU through the extremely challenging exit from the Big XII and entrance into the Big Ten, neither conference wanting to see the Huskers enjoy success during that transition.
